When i was writing my first C++ program of Hello World, I never imagined one day in the future I would be introducing my own product in the same way.
WHO ARE YOU
Well, Technically speaking I am an offline .cub file attached as a datasource to an Excel file. The .cub file is generated in SQL Server Analysis Services which makes it possible to create cubes which are pre-calculated Facts and Dimension tables merged in a single structure.
But In simple terms, I am just an excel file which allows you to navigate history in a never ever before done way! I am placing 100 to 200 or 300 years of history in your hands and you can move the different entities just like you move the rows and columns of Rubik Cube!
WHAT WAS YOUR AHA MOMENT!
On one cold dark winter night in December I was reading THE WRIGHT BROTHERS by David McCullough on my green sofa. Suddenly I had a thought flash in my mind.
IF TWO BLOKES WHO HAVE A CYCLE REPAIR SHOP ARE ABLE TO EXPERIMENT ON BUILDING A PLANE IN AMERICA IN LATE 19TH CENTURY, WHAT WAS HAPPENING IN OTHER PARTS OF THE WORLD, WHAT WERE THE THINGS HAPPENING IN AMERICA THAT MADE INVENTION POSSIBLE.
This thought i nurtured over the next few months and decided to make something that will allow cross sectional analysis across various countries and their peoples across the centuries.
HistoryInCube is a culimination of that thought seed !!

I have a conviction that this tool HistoryInCube will play the role of microscope in history. This tool makes navigating countries, tribes, dynasties and the peoples and their interrelations throughout the last 300 years. Having such information in your hands and being able to move around with a few clicks and discover history will really make its understanding better without spending much time collating the data, as I have already collated it for you and for the future generation!
